Wordpress Advanced Topics Workshop   (Archived)

ESU 10 is hosting a Wordpress Advanced Topics Workshop on January 28, 2010 in the computer labs at ESU 10 in Kearney. The “advanced” topics we will be covering are:
Working with Media

  • Pictures
  • Picture Galleries
  • Audio/Audio Podcasts
  • Video/Video Podcasts
  • Other Files – PDF, Word, Excel, Etc.

Many of  you have a WordPress Account with GNENC, ESU 10 or your local ESU. If you know of someone else who you think would like a WordPress account, point them to: http://blog.esu10.org/wordpress and have them click on Account Request.

We intentionally don’t have a lot on the agenda so you have time to not only learn a new topic, but also have time to work on your existing site and ask questions while someone is there to help.

Wordpress - Making Your Web Presence   (Archived)

This is the beginning level workshop to ESU 10’s new web content and blogging software. In this workshop we will explore effective teacher websites, plan your web presence, and build your site using WordPress. By the end of the day, you will have a working site that students, parents and other visitors will be able to access and use. If you are currently using Manila for your web presence, this service will be going away at the end of June. WordPress is replacing Manila so if you need to migrate your site, this would be a great opportunity to do so.
